$1.4 Billion Reached!
Campaign Co-Chairs Celebrate Reunions & Boldly Brown Milestone
Reunion and Commencement Weekend 2009 was particularly eventful for our Boldly Brown co-chairs. Not only did they celebrate a $1.4 billion campaign milestone, but all three - Liz Chace '59, Matt Mallow '64, P'02, and Jerome Vascellaro '74, P'07 - observed significant reunions (50th, 45th, and 35th respectively) as well.
Liz Chace, as Chief Marshal, led the ceremonial procession of degree candidates, faculty, senior administrators, and reunion alumni - more than 6,000 people in all - out through the Van Wickle Gates and down College Hill.
Just prior to the festivities, the three took the time to discuss the weekend, their feelings about Brown, and the success of the campaign. After this short pause to celebrate, all agreed, the campaign will surge ahead, seeking funds for financial aid, professorships, facilities, and the Brown Annual Fund.
