We are privileged to be the chairs of this historic and ambitious campaign. Each of us is deeply grateful for our Brown education and experience. It has shaped our lives, influenced our careers, and informed our values. The $1.4 billion Campaign for Academic Enrichment will ensure that the lives of future generations of Brown students are similarly enriched by their years at Brown. Over the next five years, beginning with the public celebration on October 22, 2005, the campaign will engage the entire Brown community, broadcast the Brown vision, and secure Brown's place among the nation's preeminent universities.
During the campaign, every gift to Brown counts toward the campaign goal-and adds to the momentum of change. To achieve our goals, we need everyone's participation and everyone's commitment. We hope that you'll join us in making the size of your gift commensurate with the ambition of the campaign. Our sights have been raised by the inspiring leadership and vision of President Ruth Simmons, by the extraordinary dedication and devotion of the Brown community, and-above all- by the responsibility we share for Brown's future, which promises to be even more remarkable than its past.
We will be bold...we will all be Boldly Brown.
