It is a remarkable time to be a member of the Brown community. As they always have, Brown's faculty, students, and staff are boldly embracing the rigorous yet joyous academic experience that Brown affords.
The Plan for Academic Enrichment, an articulation of our direction and priorities over the next two decades, has generated much of this palpable energy on College Hill. Our distinguished faculty has welcomed dozens of additional renowned scholars and scientists to its ranks. A new generation of students from every economic, cultural, and social background is enriching our classrooms and laboratories with an ever more diverse array of talents and intellectual perspectives. Innovative multidisciplinary programs are opening up promising new avenues of research. The physical dimensions of our beautiful campus are being enhanced with close attention to the historic architectural character of College Hill even as we create new facilities for living and learning.
Brown pursues these bold aspirations because it must; members of the Brown community who have built and nurtured this university over so many generations demand and deserve no less. The Campaign for Academic Enrichment honors the dedication of our predecessors and secures the future for our successors.
