While most campaigns focus on the future, the priorities of the Campaign for Academic Enrichment are being implemented now. We are hiring great numbers of new faculty; we are offering increased financial support to graduate students; we are admitting undergraduate students without regard to their financial circumstances; we are enhancing resources for living and learning.
Since the Campaign’s launch, alumni, parents, and friends have demonstrated their extraordinary support by giving to the Brown Annual Fund more generously than ever, setting records for participation and donations. While the other priorities of the Campaign build the endowed funds that will support us for years to come, the Brown Annual Fund addresses the critical, immediate needs of needs of our students and ensures that their Brown experience is the most it can be today. Every gift to the Annual Fund helps to bolster student and faculty support; library and technology enhancements; and the living and learning opportunities we are able to offer our students.
Gifts to the Brown Annual Fund support priorities that in recent years have achieved such results as increased student applications and heightened selectivity; newly established partnerships such as those with the Marine Biological Laboratory at Woods Hole and Trinity Repertory Theatre; new multidisciplinary initiatives in the humanities, computational molecular biology, genetics, and other areas; and new programs that promote greater interaction among Brown's community members.
